The MultiMeter is a windows sidebar gadget. It is a tool that will give you the possibility to monitor quite some amount of system values from your computer. While most users will probably be happy to monitor the time or date of the day, others will definitely enjoy to monitor how their processor, memory, network etc... are behaving while they use their computer. The MultiMeter gives you infinite possibilities to settle the values you need or want and to make the gadget look like you prefer. The best way to know if you like it, is to simply try it out...

Original V1 release November 2006
Original V2 release October 2008

What is a preset?
I developed the preset feature in order to be able to save your multimeter layout when you're done setting it up. This can be done by clicking the save preset button inside the gadget settings. But presets are also used to share your settings with other multimeter users and the import preset button can be used in this case.

How to install a preset?
- Install multimeter v2.10
- Open the multimeter settings
- Click the preset import button
- Select the preset you downloaded

Download Multimeter Preset

Important note:
When you install a preset that contains multiple hard drive values, like the preset above,
i always advise to go in the HDD tab from the settings (after you imported/applied the preset) and,
make sure that your drive letters are set right. Don't leave an empty box where a driveletter should be.

The only thing you can do with v2.10 is to make sure your wifi is connected before you start the gadget (or before you start windows) Multimeter always checks the network adapter and if your wifi connection doesn't exist, it will default to the first one.

Hi there,

this is the gadget i was looking for. Great and thanks to SFkilla.
But i have a little problem: Every now and then the wrong net-adapter is used.I set it up with 3 (my wifi adapter). That works great but then after the next (or the second-next) reboot, the wrong networkadapter is in the preferences selcten an i get no graph.

What can i do?
Kind regards
Madmin

Hey, just letting you know I haven't forgotten about those screenshots I have the new system up and running and trying to work some kinks out of it. Multimeter 2 is a blessing in it's monitoring of the cores. Problem I'm having is with the thermal and voltage monitoring. Seems no program likes it. CPUid is working with me to adapt their program to work accuratly with the system. (yep, got the HWmeter working finally!)

Also, since you mainly code in Javascript (which is cross platform), are there any plans to port Multimeter to Linux/MeeGo/Android?
Thanks :)

Developing Multimeter is a passion first of all, dividing my latest developments through closed betas is the only way for me to continue optimising it (i don't have time anymore to reply to many people so a smaller group fits my current schedule). It goes smoother this way depending on the free time i have available. My real plans are much bigger so Linux isn't a stranger for me. Although i would need time to get back into it, i only used Suse, red hat and Mandrake and this was 10 years ago, lol, but nothing impossible.

How many total betas are there? What is the current roadmap/ETA?
I can't wait

In MM2.10, in the NET tab, you should have the Global Scale and the individual Bar Scales.

Oh thx! "0" in Global and numbers in "local" scales works fine! :)

In MM2.10, in the NET tab, you should have the Global Scale and the individual Bar Scales. If you just want to scale the Bars alone, simply input your max value in the 2 bar scales and leave the global scale empty or input 0. The changes are made once you click ok to close the settings.
Note: Don't input KB, K etc... only the value in digits. (ex. 200, 1200, etc...)

hmmm so how to limit max net bar scale??
when i type "100", "100KB" or "100KB\s", but nothing changed..

but in NetworkMeter i can type "100" and its works! :)

I'd rather it happen on the system going on 8 years old then the newer system I'm about to build. Hopefully enough parts are at the post office today so I can at lest begin the construction process.
Thanks for the email!
Sure, i learned a lot from my old stuff ;) and you're welcome.

Its still the good old SnagIt 8. didn't renew it yet but it does the job quickly ;)
